dc.concourt.synopsis Application for leave to appeal against convictions of armed robbery, illegal possession of fire-arms and illegal possession of ammunition as well as against the sentence of 15 years imprisonment in respect of these offences. The applicant was out on bail during the appeal process and should have reported to the clerk of the court when leave was refused, and he only began his sentence 6 years later following apprehension at his home. The applicant alleged his right to freedom and security of person was infringed by the delay in execution of the sentence. The matter was dismissed as it raised no constitutional issue. The applicant should have ascertained the status of his application for leave. Judgment of the Court.
